Sire Ric O'Lena (Dec) is one of the few Appaloosas to excel in the cutting arena in Australia. This special leopard stallion is by superior cutting Quarter Horse Roc O'Lena, by the legendary cutter Doc O'Lena.
Dam Cayuse Mighty Enchanting is by Mighty Gay Bar GG, bred and owned by the influential George Gayle and imported to Australia at 19 years old. Mighty Gay Bar was long the last living son of ApHC Hall of Fame stallion Mighty Bright.
Ric's dam was purchased from Cayuse Appaloosas in Australia and bred to Ric O'Lena before making the long trip to New Zealand. Not only did this prove a spectacular match but the cross can never be repeated... Mighty Enchanting (now in NZ) is one of few Mighty Gay Bar daughters and Ric O'Lena is now retired, being 27 years old at the time of this breeding.
Ric's performance-rich pedigree has produced an exceptional athlete with a wonderful temperament and the 100% Appaloosa colour-producing blanket to top it all off. Ric was born in 2006 and his estimated mature height is 15.1hh.
He's a founding stallion of Sportaloosa International and his progeny are eligible for the $1,000 Sportaloosa video futurity.
